Get Over the Hump

Lately, alot of my friends have been experiencing a torrential downpour of troubles, from financial and mental, to problems in relationships with their spouses, siblings, and parents. As a friend, I listen and empathize. If I'm asked for advice, the only thing I can offer is what I do. When I'm experiencing difficulties, I drop to my knees in prayer & meditation. I surrender my situation to God and ask Him to step into the gap. To carry me like a Father. To support me and love me in a way that even my earthly father could not. To hold me in His arms and give me the strength, patience, and understanding to endure the difficult times and bring me through. And every time, He hears my cries. He eases my heart and mind. And by doing that, He lets me know that He is in control, so I don't have to worry. And just like a Father, He dries my tears and tells me to get up and keep moving forward. and for that I am grateful.

Sometimes, it just takes a few minutes of stepping away from all the distractions-the computer, the tv, the chaos going on around us-to reconnect and re-set ourselves to the simpler and more natural tempo of life.
