First Sight

How - in this first glance - do i know that God had brought us together for reasons much bigger than just you and I...

bigger than this present moment....

bigger than the thought of your skin touching mine....

bigger even than you kissing me...

than me feeling your breath on my neck...

my hair in your face.

Because in this moment, I know....

Know that you and I are meant for something so big, I can't even fathom entirely...

Yet, somehow I can sense the greatness and it's taking my breath away.

Some might call it lust....

or love at first sight...

but I call it KNOWING....

knowing when I see something so wonderful, when i feel something so different and electrifying and unusual that I just know - in this very moment - my entire being has been forever changed.

And with a sudden inhalation and the blink of a lash, my future has been laid out before me like a gleaming path leading straight to ecstasy. And for once in my life, I am not afraid. Fear has no place here. Only anticipation.

And in time, we will be tested. But we'll remember that together, we are bigger than the games people often play....

bigger than an argument...

bigger than ego...

bigger than any storm.

We are even bigger than the thought of your lips touching my skin...

than my heart beating inside my chest...

we are bigger than just this moment.
